Search for a name

Prices are per year. Renewal prices are listed beside each extension, and any ICANN fee is shown in your search results and cart before you pay.

What you can count on

Straight pricing, every time.

  • Priced before you search
Every extension shows its first-year price up front, not after you pick a name.
  • Renewals on the page
The renewal price is printed beside the first-year price, so year two holds no surprise.
  • ICANN fee in plain sight
For .com, the $0.20 per-year fee is printed with the price, not buried in the fine print.
  • Same price at checkout
The price you see is the price you pay, before taxes.

A .com, held for five years.

Registrars quote the first year because it is the cheapest number to advertise. The renewal is the one that decides what you actually pay, so it is on this bill in the year it starts — with the registry fee beside it, and then added up.

Nothing on it is a promotion, so nothing on it expires next March.

The real bill Prices as listed on this page
What one .com domain costs over 5 years at the prices published on this site
.com registration — year 1 $14.99
ICANN fee — year 1 $0.20
Renewal — years 2–54 × $18.99 $75.96
ICANN fee — years 2–54 × $0.20 $0.80
Total, 5 years $91.95

The first-year price is the number registrars advertise. The renewal is the one they leave off the page. Both are above, and neither is a promotion that later expires.

Pricing excludes applicable taxes and ICANN fees. Prices shown are first-term prices; the renewal price is shown on each plan before you pay. For .com, an ICANN fee of $0.20 (USD) per domain per year applies; some extensions have no ICANN fee. Extension prices are first-year prices per year unless marked otherwise. The .ai extension is priced per year but billed in 2-year increments. Final pricing for any name is always shown in the search results and the cart before you pay.

After you register

A domain is a name you rent. Protect the rental.

Registering the name is the easy part. The registration record is what can be changed, unlocked, transferred or allowed to expire — usually without anyone noticing until the site or email stops working.

  • Change alertsAn email when DNS, contacts, nameservers or locks move.
  • Transfer lockUnauthorized moves are refused at the registry.
  • 180-day activity logWhat changed, when, and which user made the change.
  • Expiry recoveryUltimate adds a 90-day window after a billing failure.

The cheapest insurance on the site

Rebuilding a site costs a weekend. Recovering a domain costs weeks, legal proof and sometimes the name itself. Protection is priced per domain, per year, and it applies to names you already own.

  • Works without hosting — a parked domain can be protected too.
  • Separate from privacy — privacy hides your details; protection guards the record.
  • Not every extension qualifies — the cart shows what applies before you pay.

Registering, renewing and keeping names private.

The five things people ask most before their first registration.

Can I keep my contact details out of the public WHOIS record?
Domain privacy and protected registration are separate products, not something bundled with a registration. Availability and price vary by extension, so ask us and we will tell you exactly what is possible for the domain you want.
Can I register a domain without buying hosting?
Absolutely. Register a name and leave it parked while you decide what to build. You can point it anywhere later, and there is no penalty for taking your time.
What happens if I forget to renew?
Auto-renew protection is on by default and you will get status alerts by email, so a domain does not lapse quietly. If one does lapse, most extensions pass through a grace period before anyone else can claim it — call us and we will walk you through recovery.
How long does registration take?
Usually a few seconds for .com and other common extensions. Some country-code domains require extra verification and can take longer.
Can I register several names at once?
Yes. Use bulk registration to check and register a whole list in one pass — the fastest way to lock down every spelling and variant of your brand.

Not sure which name to pick?
